Tuesday Beginner Jam
Have Fun Learning and Playing Music
Encouraged by their love of acoustic music, local folk musicians, Larry & Jane Stephenson of Blind Bay, are conducting a weekly acoustic music workshop for beginner musicians. Larry & Jane, retired teachers, lead this two hour workshop at the Carlin Community Arts and Cultural Centre (Carlin Hall) on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 pm.
This is an entry level program for individuals wishing to learn an acoustic instrument such as; guitar, banjo, mandolin etc. If you have an instrument you would like to learn to play, along with developing a basic understanding of music, this is an opportunity to learn in a relaxed, supportive environment.
Participants will gain an understanding of how to play basic melody, chords, rhythm, along with getting a feel for playing in a jam environment.

Wednesday Intermediate Jam
The Wednesday afternoon intermediate jam is starting in October. This jam group is always eager to welcome new participants into the fold. Diane Jewell will answer any questions you may have. She can be reached at (250) 517-0861. The Jam is held on Wednesdays from 1-3 pm. Each eight week session costs $40.00.
